How to quickly open a business in Poland?

Registering as an entrepreneur in Poland is quite simple and quick – all actions can be completed online, sitting at home at your computer.
But there are a number of features that must be taken into account.

The first is the technical component of the registration process.
The application is submitted to the CEIDG (register keeping records of entrepreneurs) through the platform biznes.gov.pl. You will need PESEL and profil zaufany, with which you will sign the application.
The application is considered by government authorities, usually within 24 hours.

The second is legal grounds.
One of the necessary conditions for registration is that you must have the legal status of being in Poland, which allows you to carry out business activities. For example, there will be no difficulties in registration for those who have an RVN visa.

It is important for an entrepreneur to have a legal right to the premises, which he will indicate as his residential address (for example, this is a lease agreement or a document confirming ownership).

This document will not be needed during registration, but the tax office may require it at any time (in particular, when registering as a VAT payer).

When completing your application online, you will need to provide the following information:

1) personal data

  • first and last name, citizenship and place of birth, series and number of identity document,
  • parents’ names,
  • a document confirming the right to legally stay in Poland (you will need to attach a scan of the document),
  • location,

2) data on entrepreneurship

  • name (must consist of first and last name),
  • types of activities (in the form of PKD codes),
  • addresses (for correspondence and place of business).

When registering, you can submit information to ZUS and the tax office.

For ZUS it is the following:

  • fee payment mode code,
  • profession code,
  • your NFZ department.

For tax office it is the following:

  • tax system,
  • information about who will keep the accounting records and where the accounting documents will be stored.

If your application is reviewed positively, you will be registered as an entrepreneur with a taxpayer number – NIP.
From this moment you can begin to conduct your business: open a corporate bank account, enter into contracts.
